Angel Bustamante

Angel Bustamante received his M.S. from University of Tulsa (Mechanical Engineering) and his thesis title was “Design and Performance of Multiphase Distribution Manifold”. He received his B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Táchira (Venezuela) in 1990, being second among 26 students and during his five years undergraduate program he obtained a performance index of 100%. He has worked on Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA) for fifteen years in the Engineering Department. He is well versed in the areas of  Multiphase Flow, Liquid-Gas Separation, Process Piping, Gas Conditioning and Processing, Gas Compression Plant Design and Operation, Flow Stations Design and Operation, Piping Layout, Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors, Pumps, Valves and accessories, CAD/CAE tools, in conjunction with International and Local Design Codes and Basic Practices (API, ASME-ANSI, NFPA, etc).

Angel has considerable experience in all Engineering steps for a project, since Front End Loading (FEL) until Implementation and Operation and a thorough knowledge of the process and procedures of PDVSA environment and oil and gas industry worldwide.

During his fifteen years in PDVSA he has worked as a field engineer, facilities engineer, project engineer, and during the last year he has been working as a Business Coordinator. This new challenging responsibilities include the negotiation with national and foreign oil companies settled in Venezuela, the migration of Operating Services Agreement (O.S.A.) to Joint Venture (J.V.).
