Yordanka Gomez-MarkovichYordanka received her M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in May 2006. Her thesis involved the study of oil-water emulsions and their separability by using the Dispersion Characterization Rig (DCR) facility. She worked with Dr. Ram Mohan and Dr. Luis Gomez from The University of Tulsa, and Dr. Gene Kouba from Chevron. She also holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (Venezuela), where she worked with Dr. Jean-Louis Salager and Dr. Ana Forgiarini in surfactant-oil-water (SOW) emulsified systems and their inversion, both transitional and catastrophic. Yordanka joined Scandpower Petroleum Technology in May 2006 and works as a Consultant, where she conducts model development in Operator Training Systems for the oil industry, conducts flow assurance and multiphase dynamics studies, and provides technical support to OLGAŽ users.
